Humanities Texas supports the work of Texas teachers through a range of educational initiatives, including innovative summer teacher institutes, an awards program recognizing outstanding Texas teachers, and Humanities Interactive, an online exhibits gallery.

Teacher awards
Each year, both the Outstanding Teaching of the Humanities Awards and the Linden Heck Howell Award for Outstanding Teaching of Texas History recognize exemplary K–12 humanities teachers.
Linden Heck Howell Texas History Initiative
This initiative supports the development of educational materials about Texas history.
Humanities Interactive
This online exhibits gallery features more than forty digital exhibits organized into “collections” on border studies, Texas history and culture, ancient cultures, literature, and other important themes. Each exhibit includes interactive games and teaching resources for visitors of all ages.
Exhibit and media rentals
Humanities Texas offers more than fifty traveling exhibits and media resources to museums, schools, and libraries.
Grants
Humanities Texas grants can help schools and educational organizations pay for humanities speakers and exhibits.
