Shaping the American Republic to 1877

In the summer of 2010, Humanities Texas held "Shaping the American Republic to 1877," a series of six summer institutes on university campuses throughout the state. Each program focused on topics in U.S. history and culture from the colonial era through Reconstruction that are central to the 8th grade social studies curriculum.
