This Humanities Texas traveling exhibition highlights both the grandeur and intensity of Spain in the Golden Age and the unique vision of El Greco, who became the greatest Spanish painter of his day, and one of the greatest artists of Western civilization. This exhibition explores the art, influence, intellectual life, and religious fervor in Spain, as reflected in the paintings and life of El Greco.
