New History at Old Red: Building Community Conference
Conference

On Saturday, October 20, 2018, the Old Red Museum in Dallas is hosting their fourth annual history conference titled "Building Community." The program, made possible in part by a Humanities Texas grant, will include lectures by renowned scholars Bianca Lopez and Ariel Ron of Southern Methodist University, Max Krochmal of Texas Christian University, and Ronald Goodwin of Prairie View A&M University on topics relating to Texas, United States, and world history.

This conference presents a fantastic opportunity for educators in the Dallas/Fort Worth area to engage with historical content and earn Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits. The program registration fee is $25, which includes access to all conference sessions, a continental breakfast, lunch, lesson plan materials, exhibitors' hall, and parking. Teachers must also be registered with ESC Region 10 to receive their six CPE credits.
