The Old Cowhand on the Silvery Rio Grande
Public lecture

The Friends of the Boyce Ditto Library will host a talk by writer and historian Gene Fowler titled “The Old Cowhand on the Silvery Rio Grande.” The talk will focus on the history of singing cowboys who performed on long-range Mexican radio stations just south of the Rio Grande during the Great Depression. Fowler will also perform short versions of old cowboy songs.
