Cohesion and Diversity: A US-UK Comparative Perspective
Symposium

As the United States and Great Britain experience changes through new transnational and globalized connections, the need to understand diverse cultures and communication among them is greater than ever. To explore the role of the humanities in advancing this understanding, we cordially invite you to join us for a one-day forum on "Cohesion and Diversity: A US-UK Comparative Perspective" on the campus of The University of Texas at Austin on Monday, November 16.

The event will bring together academic experts and public figures from the UK and US for two academic panels at the Harry Ranson Center prior to a reception and evening panel to be chaired by Evan Smith and recorded for broadcast by KLRU. This event is organized in recognition of the importance of transatlantic collaboration in this field and to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the National Endowment for the Humanities and the 10th anniversary of its British counterpart, the Arts and Humanities Research Council.

All events are free and open to the public.
