Substitute Reimbursement Information
If approved, Humanities Texas will provide your school with $80 to cover costs for a substitute teacher on the day you attend the forum. Humanities Texas will not locate or secure substitutes; this remains the responsibility of the schools or districts. In order to see that these funds are delivered promptly and to the correct location, we ask for your help below. Please identify whether reimbursements should be sent to your school or your district office (reimbursement payee), who the reimbursement should be sent to (reimbursement attention), and that person's address. If you do not require substitute reimbursement, respond to the following questions with “n/a.”
(E.g., Spring ISD or Spring High School)
(E.g., Andrew Bowman, Principal's Secretary)
Travel Stipend Information
If approved, Humanities Texas will reimburse your approved travel costs of up to $200. Eligible expenses include mileage, lodging, air travel, airport parking, and taxi fares. Meals are not reimbursable. Reimbursement rates are set by the State of Texas. Itemized receipts are required for all costs excluding gas. Participants are responsible for making their own travel arrangements to and from the program. Please note that Humanities Texas's maximum reimbursement for total travel expenses is $200, even if the teacher's actual expenses exceed $200.
