Bryce Milligan is the author of three volumes of poetry, five historical novels, and more than 2,000 articles. He is the publisher/editor of Wings Press and former director of the literature program at the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center. He was the editor of two award-winning literary magazines and has edited numerous anthologies of Latina/o writing.
As a poet, Milligan’s readings almost always have a significant, language-based humanities content. He almost always discusses etymology in some way, as many of his poems draw upon his studies in ancient Sumerian as well as Anglo-Saxon and Old Irish. Being a “muse poet,” he tends to bring up lore and mythology as well.
