Since 1973, Humanities Texas has advanced history, culture, and education throughout the state by conducting and supporting public programs in history, literature, philosophy, and the other humanities disciplines.

Our online archives encompass our work from over the past four decades. By publishing them in this searchable, online format, we fully expect that they will continue to enrich the lives of citizens throughout Texas and the nation.

Digital Repository

This searchable and ever-expanding online repository includes materials from all Humanities Texas programs. Contents include historical documents, works of art, video recordings of public lectures, audio recordings of our Texas Originals radio program, and countless other resources.

Publications

Humanities Texas has published a number of books, reports, and monographs that document the work of the Council and its grantees and promote the humanities and humanities scholarship. Humanities Texas also publishes reports that provide Texans and others with information about its programs, events, and governance.
