Digital Storytelling: Developing Student Podcasts in the Writing Classroom (Fall 2025 Webinar)


On October 7, 2025, Humanities Texas held a webinar on developing student podcasts and using other digital storytelling tools to support writing instruction in the secondary-level humanities classroom.

Schedule and Curriculum

Content aligned with the TEKS for secondary-level English language arts (ELA). The webinar explored options for creating student podcasts and using other digital storytelling tools and new media to support writing instruction in the secondary-level humanities classroom. The presentation and interactive discussion emphasized generating student interest in writing and developing critical thinking, media literacy, and analytical skills.

Like all Humanities Texas teacher programs, the webinar emphasized close interaction with scholars, the examination of texts, and the development of effective pedagogical strategies and engaging assignments and activities.
