Humanities Texas is pleased to announce a new online portal for our grants program! We look forward to helping applicant organizations navigate this new and improved system.

Online Portal

The new online portal allows organizations to apply for grants, manage reports, and receive real-time updates on the status of their applications. Supporting documents can be uploaded and attached directly to grant applications, simplifying the submission process.

All applicants must register their organization on the portal prior to opening an application. Once registered, an account holder can apply for grants on an ongoing basis and manage active grants. While each grant application is linked to a single account holder, the portal allows for collaboration among colleagues or institutional partners throughout the application process.

Available Grants

Mini-grants are available on a rolling basis throughout the year and fund up to $2,000 of the costs associated with public humanities programs. Applications must be submitted at least six weeks prior to the program start date.

Major grants are awarded biannually and fund up to $20,000 of program costs for community or media projects. The upcoming major grant application deadline is March 15, 2024. Letters of intent must be submitted by February 15, 2024.
