The eighth annual Festival of Texas Fiddling will take place in Blanco from December 2–3, 2022. For nearly a decade, this event has explored the unique styles and traditions of fiddling from across the many regions and cultures of Texas in an effort to promote, preserve, and enjoy a quintessential part of Texas culture.

Held at the historic Twin Sisters Dance Hall in Blanco, the festival combines presentations on Texas music, dance, and dance halls with showcase concerts as a means of examining and celebrating the diversity and uniqueness of Texas fiddling. Over twenty musical acts will play a range of different fiddling styles including Texas-Polish, conjunto, Tejano, Western swing, country, and Creole. Lectures, presentations, and workshops will be held throughout the festival, led by experts in history and musicology.
