This January, the Jewish Federation of San Antonio and San Antonio Public Library will host their annual month-long Holocaust education program. Learn & Remember comprises an online exhibition and series of virtual lectures and performances. This year's theme is Isolation, and the exhibition will focus on the ways in which the victims of the Holocaust were isolated both socially and physically.
The Learn & Remember: Isolation online exhibition is now available on the Holocaust Memorial Museum of San Antonio website and will include printable supplemental materials for students and teachers. Each section of the exhibition features documents, photographs, and footage of Holocaust survivors discussing their personal experiences, as well as video clips produced by Jewish Family Services San Antonio exploring the profound effects of trauma.
This year's presentations will be held virtually in January and can be accessed through the San Antonio Public Library calendar of events. Registration is required, and a Zoom link will be emailed prior to the program. For a full schedule of events, visit the Learn & Remember website.
The Learn & Remember: Isolation online exhibition is made possible in part by a Humanities Texas grant.
