This September, with support from the Pulitzer Prize Centennial Campfires Initiative, Humanities Texas is partnering with the University of North Texas's Frank W. and Sue Mayborn School of Journalism to conduct an evening of discussion titled "A Century of Excellence: The Pulitzer Prizes and Journalism's Impact on UNT." Five UNT journalism alumni who received Pulitzer Prizes and four who were finalists will discuss their recognized works. The event will also feature Keven Ann Willey, co-chair of the Pulitzer Prize Board for 2016–2017 and editorial page editor of The Dallas Morning News, who will introduce a special video highlighting the Pulitzer's impact on storytelling.
