The Salado Cowboy Poetry and Music Gathering will take place from May 5–8, 2022. Hosted at sites across Salado, the festival will feature poetry recitations and musical performances from seasoned "cowboy poets" who write about Western, ranching, and cowboy life in Texas.

Daytime events on Saturday, May 7, are free and open to the public and are made possible in part by a grant from Humanities Texas. All-day programming including live folk music, poetry, author readings, and interactive history lessons will be held in and around the Salado Civic Center. Tours of the town's historic cabins, which sit on the Chisholm Trail, will also be available throughout the day.

For a full schedule of events and details about participating performers, visit the Salado Cowboy Poetry and Music Gathering website.
