We invite you to explore three seasons of Texas Originals, Humanities Texas's radio series profiling individuals whose lives and achievements have profoundly influenced Texas history and culture. Produced in partnership with Houston Public Media and Austin PBS, the series brings these rich stories to audiences across Texas.

All episodes of Texas Originals are available on the Humanities Texas website, with each page featuring photographs, historical documents, Spanish-language translations, and additional resources for listeners to learn more about each of the "originals" featured in the series.

Humanities Texas has also developed a curriculum set to help educators integrate Texas Originals into the classroom. Resources include activities and lesson plans such as Meet the Originals, Write Your Own Texas Originals Script, and Dinner Party Discussions. The materials reinforce reading, writing, and accepted social studies conventions and practices while supporting the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS).
