Humanities Texas is pleased to announce that proceeds from our 2024 Holiday Book Fair will be donated to the following libraries: Stamford Carnegie Library, Carnegie Library of Ballinger, and De Leon City County Library. Each organization will receive $1,500.

"The $1,500 donation to the Stamford Carnegie Library will play a significant role in the ongoing renovation efforts aimed at enhancing the library's facilities and services for the community," said Ann Pippin, director of the Stamford Carnegie Library. "With a total fundraising goal of $3,138,000 and your generous donation contributing to this cause, every dollar helps ensure that the Stamford Carnegie Library remains a vital resource for the community. Together, these efforts will not only modernize the library but also strengthen its role as a community hub for learning and engagement. Thank you for your generosity!"

In Ballinger, the funds will support summer programs for children. The De Leon Library, which has recently weeded their collection for the first time in many years, will use the donation to purchase new books for circulation.

Humanities Texas is proud to support the work of libraries statewide. Details about the 2025 Holiday Book Fair will be announced this fall.
