Humanities Texas recently launched two new rounds of Texas Storytime, our family reading program, at the Pan American Branch of the San Antonio Public Library for students of nearby Columbia Heights Elementary and in Austin at Brooke Elementary School.

During the two six-week series, Texas Storytime aims to cultivate a culture of reading and achieve higher levels of involvement among parents, teachers, and community members. The bilingual program features age-appropriate books that advance an understanding and appreciation of Texas's diverse cultures.

At each event, storytellers present dynamic readings, and families join in book-related activities. All participants share a meal and receive complimentary copies of that week's featured book.
