The deadline for the spring cycle of major grants is March 15, 2009.
Interns will support the efforts of the Humanities Texas grants, education, and exhibitions programs. Responsibilities will include drafting and circulating press releases, communicating with press outlets about upcoming HTx-sponsored programs, preparing program-related print materials, and possibly serving as support staff for HTx programs around the state. The positions will include some general administrative responsibilities.
The internships offer extensive professional writing experience and the opportunity to learn about the day-to-day operations of an active nonprofit educational organization serving a diverse, statewide audience.
Hours: 20–30 per week, depending on availability.
Compensation: The internship is unpaid; course credit potentially available through individual's academic program.
