On April 27, Humanities Texas will host a screening of the documentary film From That Small Island: The Story of the Irish in partnership with the Consulate General of Ireland, Austin and Irish Business Network Austin.

Narrated by noted actor Colin Farrell, From That Small Island tells the story of the Irish from the very first inhabitants to the present day, tracing the ebb and flow of people into and out of the island. It is a journey through time, identity, and the enduring spirit of a people whose story continues to shape the world.

After the screening, Jane Ohlmeyer (Trinity College Dublin), the film's historical consultant and associate producer, will join the audience for a moderated discussion.

A reception sponsored by Ballykeefe Distillery and Coole Swan will conclude the evening.
