Upcoming Institutes and Workshops

In 2026, Humanities Texas will hold in-person and online programs for classroom teachers covering topics in U.S. history, government, Texas history, and English language arts.


From June 1–4, 2026, Humanities Texas will partner with Texas Christian University in Fort Worth to hold an interdisciplinary professional development institute for Texas teachers providing strategies to help students navigate new AI technologies, online educational resources, and digital archives.

From June 8–11, 2026, Humanities Texas will partner with The University of Texas at Austin to hold a professional development institute for Texas teachers on the American Revolution. The institute is part of our teacher programming in 2025–26 commemorating the United States Semiquincentennial.

From June 15–18, 2026, Humanities Texas will partner with The University of Texas at Austin to hold a professional development institute for Texas teachers on reading and understanding the central authors, texts, and eras of our nation's literary history, from the Founding Era to our present moment.

From June 22–25, 2026, Humanities Texas will partner with Texas A&M University to hold a professional development institute for Texas teachers on World War I and World War II.
