Digital Timeline Tools in the Humanities Classroom (Fall 2026 Webinar)

On November 4, 2026, Humanities Texas will offer a webinar on how timelines and other digital tools can support inquiry, digital literacy, and source analysis in the humanities classroom.

The webinar will take place over Zoom from 5:00–6:15 p.m. CT.

Curriculum

Content will be aligned with the TEKS. Participants will learn how to create and assign digital timelines and practical ways students can organize and synthesize research, evaluate sources, and articulate this research chronologically through multimedia digital storytelling. Like all Humanities Texas teacher programs, the webinar will be teacher-centered, with an emphasis on developing effective pedagogical strategies.

Faculty

Lorena Gauthereau (University of Houston) will lead the webinar.

Eligibility

The webinar is open to secondary-level humanities teachers in Texas schools.

Attendance and CPE Credit

The online program is free to teachers and their schools. Participants will receive CPE credit and a wealth of curricular materials. CPE hours will be based on Zoom attendance and adjusted if a participant misses any portion of the program. In order to attend the webinar and receive CPE credit, you must be a registered participant.
