On March 3, 2026, Humanities Texas held a webinar facilitated by IEEE REACH (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) to introduce teachers to a variety of resources and strategies that situate science, technology, and engineering in their social and humanistic contexts.
Content aligned with the TEKS. Led by IEEE's education professionals, this interactive session offered strategies for understanding and analyzing major milestones in science, technology, and engineering in U.S. history and helping students develop visual literacy, historical thinking, and analysis skills in the classroom. Teachers came away with practical teaching strategies and ideas for lesson extensions.
Like all Humanities Texas teacher programs, the webinar emphasized the development of effective pedagogical strategies and engaging assignments and activities.
Kelly McKenna and Michael N. Geselowitz of IEEE REACH led the webinar.
