Brumidi, Thomas Jefferson, Secretary of State, 1859-60

George Washington's cabinet split over issues of centralization of power. Secretary of the Treasury Alexander Hamilton supported the creation of a national bank. Secretary of State Thomas Jefferson opposed his view.
